Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by Michelle Winter Massage Therapy. By booking or receiving a treatment, you agree to the following terms.

1. Appointment Bookings

​

Appointments can be booked online through the booking system or in person following a treatment.

​

A 50% deposit is required when booking online. Deposits are transferable to a rescheduled appointment where at least 48 hours' notice is provided. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice.

​

Appointment confirmations and reminders will be sent by email and/or text message.

​

2. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

​

A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged at 100% of the treatment cost.

​

Failure to attend an appointment without notice will be treated as a no-show and the full treatment fee will remain payable.

​

If you are unwell and unable to attend your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible. Exceptions to the cancellation policy may be considered in cases of sudden illness at my discretion.

​

3. Payments and Fees

​

Accepted payment methods include debit card, credit card, bank transfer and cash.

Any remaining balance is payable at the end of the appointment unless prepaid.

Treatment prices are subject to change. Existing bookings will be honoured at the price confirmed at the time of booking.

Refunds are not available for treatments already received. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your treatment, please discuss your concerns with me so that they can be addressed appropriately.

4. Health Information and Treatment Suitability

​

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date health information, including any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medications or changes in health status that may affect treatment.

​

This information helps ensure treatments are carried out safely and effectively.

I reserve the right to refuse, modify or discontinue treatment if I believe it may not be safe or appropriate for your condition.

​

In some circumstances, medical clearance from a GP, consultant or other healthcare professional may be requested before treatment can proceed.

​

4. Confidentiality

​

All personal and health information provided is treated as confidential and stored in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

​

Information will only be used for the purposes of providing massage therapy services and managing your appointments.

​

5. Client Responsibilities

​

Please arrive approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

Late arrivals may result in a reduced treatment time in order to avoid impacting subsequent appointments. The full appointment fee remains payable.

​

Clients are expected to behave respectfully towards the therapist and other users of the premises. Any inappropriate, abusive, threatening or disruptive behaviour will result in treatment being terminated and future appointments may be refused.

​

Mobile phones should be switched to silent during treatment sessions wherever possible.

​

6. Health and Safety

​

Clients should not attend appointments if they have a contagious illness or condition that may place others at risk.

​

High standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

​

Michelle Winter Massage Therapy is committed to providing safe, professional and effective treatments within the scope of massage therapy practice.

7. Massage Therapy Disclaimer

​

Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or advice.

​

No claims are made regarding the diagnosis, treatment or cure of any medical condition.

​

Clients are encouraged to seek appropriate medical advice for any health concerns and to follow recommendations provided by their healthcare professionals.

​

8. Liability

​

Every effort is made to provide treatments safely and professionally.

​

Michelle Winter Massage Therapy accepts no liability for loss, damage or injury arising from inaccurate, incomplete or withheld health information provided by a client.

​

Nothing within these Terms and Conditions excludes liability for negligence where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

​

9. Gift Vouchers

​

Gift vouchers are available for purchase online.

​

Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

​

Expired gift vouchers cannot be extended, reissued or redeemed.

​

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

​

Gift vouchers may be used towards any available treatment or service offered by Michelle Winter Massage Therapy.

​

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

​

Michelle Winter Massage Therapy reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

​

The most current version will be available through the website and booking system.

​

11. Governing Law

​

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.

​
